Taking off Tonight!

My trusty suitcase (thanks Mom!) in its usual spot on the floor looking quite full. I really thought that there would be more space this time...I thought I was packing light. Eight days, eight outfits, a few sweaters, pajamas, two pairs of shoes. But the camera, medicine bag, travel size soaps and toiletries, makeup bag, and eye care bag really filled in those free spots. My carry on is just a small backpack stuffed with my iPad, a book, socks, travel pillow, wallet and passport. I'm hoping to be able to take my suitcase on the plane. It's usually 50/50 on carrying it on. As long as I don't talk to any airport attendants, no one says anything. Self Check in is pretty great.

12 hours until take off. Heading to work now. Getting a few last minute things done, printing train tickets and an updated itinerary and leaving work at 4pm to have ample time to get to JFK. 

Tomorrow we will wake up in Milan and start what my dad calls "another one of your military vacations". 😂 I just like to see everything!
