Hi!

Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you find some useful travel tips, yummy restaurants to check out, or are at least amused and entertained by a few good stories.

Day Two: Régua and Pinhão

Day Two: Régua and Pinhão

As I mentioned, Vila Real was not what I pictured at all, but driving 20 minutes south to Régua was exactly what I pictured. We took a stroll along the river and enjoyed beautiful views.

Next we stopped at a Quinta (aka a winery) and had a glass of wine. I was looking for cheese but they didn’t have any so we just had a glass and left.

Then I called a few other places to see if they had cheese and wine because I was starting to get a little hangry. All I had eaten was toast at breakfast!

Headed to Pinhão which is supposedly the “heart of the Douro”. The views were pretty but there really wasn’t anything else to see. However, I found cheese and wine so I was a happy girl.

And on the drive back to the hotel, we found some amazing views from the road that we had to pull off and take photos! Thanks to our little Mini Cooper for balancing the camera while on timer.
