Flying on Royal Air Maroc
We left NYC to get to the airport at 5pm yesterday and we finally arrived at our hostel at 4pm local time. That’s about 10am back home so is that 17 hours of traveling? It all goes by in such a strange blur.
Our flight was delayed an hour but otherwise it was quite smooth. I would highly recommend Royal Air Maroc and that’s coming after the Emirates dream flight. This airline also gave out pillow, blanket, socks, and an eyemask. Of course I already had my own. Papa gave me some compression socks and I think these are now my new favorite travel necessity. I was however missing my inflatable travel pillow—this was bad. I did not sleep well at all during those 6 hours on the plane. I watched Frozen and then switch to the flight map. I was super curious about the flight path...there it is!
The plane food was decent, beef and mashed potatoes with veggies for dinner, potato salad on the side, bread, a small cheesecake and a plain yogurt that I did not eat (not really a dinner food to me?). There was also a piece of cheese which I put in my backpack to save for later. Snacks always come in handy! Free=me! 😁Then I felt like only a few hours later they woke us with a breakfast of bread. Small almond pastry of some sort, muffin, bread, yogurt. I only ate the yogurt and saved the bread and muffin for snacks. They also came around a served mint tea-Morocco’s famous special-tea! It was very yummy!
The plane seemed super modern and I didn’t have a chance to look at it when we got on but I felt like it was very big! Not sure why I felt that this plane was particularly large. I think it was the engine part that seemed big.
