Lunch in Lefkes - Paros Island
Lefkes is a pretty little village in the middle of Paros Island. We drove out there for lunch time and found a place to eat with this view of the town. The view was nice but the food was only okay.
Greek menus basically all have the same food but then the prices are written in. What I’ve come to understand is that if the price is written in, then that’s what they have today. I guess it’s good because all the food is fresh but it can be frustrating when trying to figure out what to order. The menu said Pasticcio but they were out for the day so I didn’t get to try that. I wasn’t really feeling anything on the menu so I ordered a fried eggplant appetizer and had a few bites of Adams pancetta. Actually though, the eggplant was really yummy! A little salt and lime squeezed on top and I ended up eating an entire plate of eggplant.
After lunch we (Adam) drove through some narrow roads of the town. We didn’t really want to walk around outside because it was very hot out. Made it up and down and few streets and dead ends and then grabbed an iced coffee before heading back to the beach. The iced coffee here is very fluffy. I think they whip it up to a thicker substance and then add a creamy top layer of milk. Should have take a pic, it’s quite yummy.
We went to a different beach that was closer to Lefkes and there was a guy selling water things so we rented a stand up paddle board which means Adam stood up and paddle boarded and I sit on the back and enjoyed. I did try twice to paddle as well, but then I ended up going overboard.
