Hi!

Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you find some useful travel tips, yummy restaurants to check out, or are at least amused and entertained by a few good stories.

Szechenyi Thermal Baths

Szechenyi Thermal Baths

Interestingly, nothing really opens before 7:30am so we had trouble finding coffee or breakfast until that time. Chris and I ventured out for lattes and pastries and got some delicious items at Lisboa Cafe. The croissants were perfect!

But after yesterdays walking tour, not everyone was in the mood for the thermal baths. We convinced Papa that the natural water would make his knee feel better but aunt mare decided to sit on the side while we swam.

Johnny forgot his bathing suit, Chris and Alyssa didn’t bring flip flops, and none of us had towels. I had read that there would be little stands in the park selling these items but as the Bolt dropped us off right in front of the building and walking around wasn’t an option, we headed in knowing we would have to buy the tourist trap items. 4 towels, 3 flip slips, and one bathing suit….$185.

We had fun in the outdoor thermal bath and it did feel really good on the skin. We stayed in for about an hour and a half, explored a little but decided the outdoor pool was the best. If we had all the items and only paid the ticket price of $35, I would say it was good value and enjoyable. But considering all the forgotten items and add on prices…idk if it was worth it.
