Hi!

Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you find some useful travel tips, yummy restaurants to check out, or are at least amused and entertained by a few good stories.

From Ston to Home

It seems crazy that we woke up yesterday morning in Ston. Our alarm was set for 6am local time which would be midnight in NJ.

Up, get ready, finish packing, bags downstairs and ready to eat one last meal. Instant coffee was acceptable and we created a meat filled pastry with store bought phyllo dough and the leftover meat sauce we made.

It was absolutely delicious. There was a small piece left and I felt bad wasting it even though I was so full.

Robi, our driver, picked us up at 8am. Robi runs a small company called Soul of Croatia and he plans trips for people. He was awesome. The drive to Dubrovnik was about an hour and a half and he gave us a 2000 year history lesson of how Croatia came to be the country. It is today. Super fascinating.

At the airport, security was quick and we made some Bellinis before the flight.

The flight was pretty good. Normal bumps along the way. Plane food was a chicken in mushroom sauce with polenta which I thought was above average. We drank lots of red wine and had a flight attendant who really liked us. She kept coming back to see if we wanted more. I fell asleep at some point but it seems Rebecca and Bella finished all the red wine on the plane. I thought maybe she was just cutting them off but nope, she switched them to white wine.

We all watched Wicked together which was great. Napped on and off, watched Mamma Mia. Landed on time, global entry is a god send, checked bags were quick! We landed at 4:15 and were in the car before 5.

It was a great week of relaxing, adventuring, screaming from bugs, screaming from laughter, and a lot of very yummy food.

Until next time my blog readers :)
