Dinner at Restaurant 360
To my loyal readers, if you’re wondering why this next post has taken so long it’s because we are in a remote section of Croatia with very bad Wi-Fi.
But before we get here, we decided to eat dinner at 360, a one Michelin star restaurant in Dubrovnik.
Everything about this place was amazing. It is set on the walls of the city, looking out over the water and boats. The atmosphere is unbeatable, the service was top notch—a different server for food and wine—and everything tasted amazing. Can I remember what is what? No of course not. Anytime I eat these fancy meals, it’s insane to try to remember what is in which dish.
We started with Espresso martinis, then had some help navigating the Croatian wine list and ended up with a super light red that we all loved and that wasn’t too pricey!
The amuse course above consisted of bread with herb butter, regular butter, and beet butter, a Foie gras tart and something with celery many ways that we all loved.
First official course above: scallop tartare, Foie gras that tasted like it should have been a dessert, and mackerel on top that had good sauces with it.
Second course: little raviolis that were stuffed with lamb/pork/rabbit (those were my fave), a shrimp risotto, and calamari dish.
Entree course: I had the lamb which is pictured above. It was both a piece of lamb and lamb sausage accompanied by a romesco sauce. Bella had sea bass and Rebecca had snapper that came over some foam. I think we each liked our own entree the best which worked out nicely.
We finished with amazing desserts: a coffee cake up top, a passion fruit chocolate situation on the left, and a hazelnut thing on the right. And of course, some cheeses to cleanse the palate.
By the end of dinner we were feeling very happy and energized so we googled “karaoke in Dubrovnik” and found an awesome Irish bar.
The timing was perfect, 15 mins until karaoke began. The dj was great, he played a lot of good songs in between singers and we danced until midnight despite surviving on plane sleep and a nap.
Perfect start to our trip!
