Hi!

Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you find some useful travel tips, yummy restaurants to check out, or are at least amused and entertained by a few good stories.

Day Two: Part Two

Long story short, it’s morning three and I’m currently quite hungover.

Met up with a girl I met through the hostel, went to a beach bar yesterday afternoon, jumped in the water and then sat on the rocks having a drink as the sunset.

She was curious about Black Risotto and had a place in mind so we went there and shared that dish and a bottle of wine. It was good but the bread and olive oil were better. I probably would never order it again.

The wine was delicious and I decided to stop in to the wine bar across the street for a nightcap since it was only 9pm. Then Becky walked in coincidentally so one drink nightcap turned into five drinks and now I’m dead and have to get on this boat super hungover. But we had fun!

Side note: I didn’t have my service on yesterday, I left my phone on airplane mode and just used wifi. I do this because it costs $10 a day for service abroad and also I like disconnecting. So I went on that wine tour and the guy said to pay him through PayPal. Which should be no problem but I didn’t have service so I asked if it was okay if I sent the money when I had wifi. He agreed. I tried to use my PayPal when I got back to the hostel but it wanted to send me a text which I couldn’t receive bc of the phone service being off. I tried to have the text sent to another phone but that didn’t work so I figured I would try again later.

Well that was the wrong decision! After the beach bar I had wifi again and my phone has a text and two emails from the wine guy saying that he is going to call the authorities because I didn’t pay him ($80 btw). He called my hostel to find out when I check out and wrote that he would report me before I leave. It was very aggressive over not that much money and I guess I’m giving the impression of some sort of gypsy? Only further confirming my suspicion that they guy was a d-bag. I turned my service on in the end and sent him his money. I was originally going to tip but now I did not. Very annoying situation.
