Day Five: Off to Lisbon

Day Five: Off to Lisbon

The train to Lisbon from Porto is about 3 hours so I got tickets for the 9:30am train. We were out the door at 8am to get a coffee at the market down the block and find some bandaids for my heels.

Back at the hotel at 8:45, the ride to the airport is 15 minutes, I call an Uber at 8:50 and it says 22 minutes until your driver arrives. So now we’re arriving by 9:27 and then it kept going up, so I’m getting close to melt down mode. Went downstairs to check out and the front desk called us a cab. Waited 5 mins, finally left at 9:05 and arrived at 9:30 on the dot. Thankfully the train was at 9:37 and was late so no problem. Only had a minor extreme stress situation.

Arrived in Lisbon at 12:30, ubered to the hotel-Moxy Lisbon City. We stayed at this one bc it is a Marriott property and Chris has points but it was a bit away from the city center. Didn’t look too far on a map but was far in real life.

3:00 foodie walking tour, it’s pouring outside. We get to the lobby and meet a couple that is waiting for an Uber to their 3:00 walking tour! We compare tours and realize it’s the same one so we share an Uber to the location. We buy an umbrella and have a cocktail in the rain. The host of the tour shows up and our names aren’t on the list! I pull up my email and Whoops! Wrong tour. I guess I didn’t compare too closely. So we hop in a tuk tuk who takes us down to the right spot and find our group. What weather for a walking tour. My feet were soaked before we even started!

New post for rainy walking tour!
