Step One to 2021 Travel—Complete!

Cor and I are both negative as of 10am today so we can officially get on the plane today!

Yes, there was a littler nervousness about that. I mean, we weren’t exactly quarantining before the trip. I even went to Yankee Stadium last week. But it is alllllll good. We have our negative results and should be allowed to board! The thing about covid traveling is that the restrictions are constantly changing. It was hard to really get excited because it felt like it could go wrong at any second. The restrictions in Portugal are still pretty tight depending on the region and on the time of day. Stores still close early and there are tighter rules on the weekends. Either way, the beach is open and the weather is great and I am sure we will manage to eat and drink and have a great time no matter what is going on around us.

So here we go! In 18 hours we should be on the beach in Lagos.

Looking forward to a European breakfast tomorrow when we land at 6am (which is midnight here). We have to try to fall asleep on the plane at 6pm tonight. Hoping that my favorite combo of Xanax and wine will do the trick.
