Just a chill little day with a Cave Tour
I don’t have any super exciting food from Thursday. We cut up some fresh fruit for breakfast because we really needed to take a break from overeating. I love getting passion fruits here!
After the fruit, we were on the beach for a few hours enjoying the sun and relaxing.
I love that little beach because it is so pretty and even though I think it is more famous now, it doesn’t seem to attract so much of a crowd. What we watched a lot of were people coming through the little entry cave, taking a few photos, and then turning right around.
Obviously I love traveling, but I really hate that traveling has become snapping a few photos and saying “I’ve been there”. What I enjoy is the feeling you get in a new place, the excitement, the emotion. Being in the water at that beach next to those huge rocks makes me feel so small in this big world and so grateful for the life I have.
But back to the food: homemade charcuterie for lunch with some yummy sausages.
You will be surprised to know that we skipped dinner. We drove to a nearby town to go on a boat tour of the coast and caves. It was very nice and probably would have been nicer if it wasn’t overcast but still beautiful.
The last picture is the famous Algar de Benagil, which I feel like I knew it before it was famous? (I guess it was still famous because I found it.) Back in 2016, I foolishly swam out to that cave which now the tour guide said you can wait up to 30 minutes on a tour boat to get in and see it. It’s lovely, but like I said, I enjoy having an adventure or feeling with these places, not just boating in and out. Still, it was a nice boat ride and a good end to our time in the Algarve.
