September 23rd is sort of our “anniversary” so it was an excuse to have a nice dinner. Adam was in charge of picking a place and he did a nice job here. There was a beautiful view of the city and sunset however the photos don’t do it justice because of the phone line in front of the building. The restaurant itself was super cute with wooden tables and white walls, simple decorations, and the bread was served in a wooden box with olives, olive oil, and tzatziki.

Greek food is not really as expected. Adam was hesitant but he definitely likes Greek food! Really it’s a lot of grilled meats, fresh fish by the sea, and cheese—but not just feta.

However we selected the feta appetizer here as it was baked inside of pastry dough with blocks of fruit jam. Really, give me anything inside of perfectly fluffy, crisp, pastry dough and I will be happy. My only critique would be that there could have been less feta and more pastry dough. 😂

I ordered the chicken souvlaki. It says it comes with fried rice and a carmelized lemon sauce. I guess it did. But it wasn’t as fancy as I though. It was really good though! All the souvlaki has been very juicy which is something that you don’t always get with grilled meats.

Adam is more of a pasta with meat guy so he went for a pasta with pancetta which was pretty heavy but exactly what he was looking for! There has been a lot of pancetta around here but I haven’t seen too many pigs. We did see a lot of sheep/lamb and a few donkeys too. :)

We decided to go into the town for ice cream instead of dessert at the restaurant. The place we stopped at wasn’t that good and we actually both threw the ice cream away without finishing. What a sin! But we did find a place for ice cream the next night. It said “Homemade Ice Cream” on the sign and even though I finished half of my original come I asked Adam “Is it too late to get another ice cream?” He said it was so we had to wait for the next night to try that place!

We did get to take a few cute photos outside of the restaurant though.
