Hi!

Thanks for visiting my website! I hope you find some useful travel tips, yummy restaurants to check out, or are at least amused and entertained by a few good stories.

Day Nine: Split

Day Nine: Split

Breakfast, swim, read, swim, lunch. Final swim stop, final lunch on board, tomorrow we get off the boat.

Lunch was the worst so far: tomato gazpacho, veal with polenta, and chocolate cake—the cake was actually very very good!

Spent the afternoon packing and then a 4pm walking tour of the city. Super cool because Split was built literally within the walls and rooms of Diocletians palace which is still standing since year 305! All the little alleyways with outdoor seating and actual nice restaurants are so picturesque.

Around 6pm, I went over to Bokeria, a restaurant that I read about, but they were booked for the evening. Then to Uje Oil Bar which thankfully squeezed in a table for 4 and had dinner with the boat girls. I think this was the best meal so far: Chardonnay (I was over the Croatian varietals), a pretty charcuterie board, and grilled octopus.

Had a stroll to a gelato place after dinner. Tonight I chose Plum and Cream for my bottom scoop and Blueberry Vanilla for my top scoop.

Then went back to the boat and ended the night playing some games: Monopoly Duel, Dobble, and Jungle Speed. I’ll have you know I won both rounds of Monopoly duel and will be needing to buy than when I’m home!
